Kala Niketan Sr. Sec. Bal Vidyalaya, Affiliated to C.B.S.E Durgapuri Extn., Delhi – 110093 was established in 1980. It is run under the aegis of Shimla Education & Welfare Society (Regd.) Delhi having eminent ducationists administrative, engineers, businessmen & jurists etc. on the board of management. The School has well equipped Library, Integrated Science Lab., Computer Lab., Maths Lab, S.St. Lab. & Audio Visual Lab., etc. and facilities for Games and Sports and athletic events for over all development of the student. The School provides activities & facilities under different categories as visual arts, performing arts & creative arts. The activities like Excursion, Picnic, Educational Tours, Scouting & Guiding, N.S.S. Music Dance & Drama, Art & Craft, Quiz, GK, Debates & Calligraphy, Basket ball court and skating is also introduce. The School has different Clubs like Subject Clubs, Road Safety Club, Eco Club, Recreation Club, Fire Safety Club and Legal Literacy Club, Electoral Literacy Club to organising various activities.
The School has an active Students Body & Students Councils. The student body consists of four houses Ashoka, Chandragupta, Kanishka & Vikramaditya. Each House has a House Captain, Vice-Captain and House incharge besides topper of each class. The consistent excellent results in X & XII speak volumes of the dedication, zeal and unyielding desire among the staff, management & students to excel. Merit scholarship are given to the three topper of the class X & XII. In 21st century, the mantra is globalization & intarnetization which has unfolded an array of career options. Proper guidance to the students is essential who are our future generation. The school holds regular career counselling session, teacher workshops, seminars and parents orientation programe. E-learning smart classes are the main highlights of the school CCTV Cameras are there for the internal security and safety of each and every child.
